I live in Freeport on Grand Bahama Island. I have been to Grum Ma’s Cultural Center three (3) times with guests that stayed with us. Each time I learn more and more about the Bahamian Culture. The tour and discussion of the director of Grum Ma’s house were informative and very entertaining. We enjoyed our tea and homemade Bahamian Desserts while learning about the Bahamas. It is an amazing island. The Bahamians are kind, generous, and very hospitable. I highly recommend this tour and so do all of my guests.

We’ll discuss the native ingredients that are used in the tea before sampling them alongside some delicious pastries.
Around the Cultural Center, you’ll also be able to see authentic Junkanoo artifacts that are used during Bahamian celebrations and parades. You can enjoy Starbucks every day, so why not try authentic Bahamian Bush teas when you have the chance!

See What Our Guests Are Saying
We had an amazing time! Donald knew so much about the island and was passionate about the culture. He showed us what it was really like for the local people. He drove us all over the island and taught us about Bush medicine and showed us the true beauty of the island. The lunch they served was sooo good, Chef Princess Diana is an amazing cook. And the meal was served on the beach with amazing views. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who plans on visiting the island.
This was by far my favourite excursion that I did while in Freeport! Don the tour guide was excellent and informative. We got to see more of the actual city and how the residents actually live instead of being taken to places where you can buy t-shirts. The junkanoo museum was cool and the lunch at Buddies by the Bay was great! Highly recommend it!
Donald and Diane do a great job with this cultural experience. We loved hearing about the history of Freeport and had a wonderful meal. This was a wonderful experience and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Freeport.
The experience was honestly not like I expected but better. My mother and I went on a cruise and wanted to get a local’s perspective on the island. The knowledge I gained about Freeport and the Bahamas as a whole I would not have been able to gain if Donald wouldn’t have offered this tour. Donald knows everyone and everyone knows him, making us feel completely comfortable in our surroundings.
