I really enjoyed this tour, learning about junkanoo, Bush medicine, rake and scrape music, followed by a private lunch at a private hideaway! Donald even went above and beyond to help us out in our quest to get out to Sweetings Cay… great time!!

Bringing Bahama to You
This online experience covers classic Bahamian drinks, culture, entertainment, and even the opportunity to explore different islands. With your ingredients ready, a local Bahamian mixologist will show you how to make the perfect beverage! Throughout the whole process, your cultural guide will share the rich heritage and traditions of the islands.
While you enjoy sipping on your drink, we will transport you through various islands, maybe to see the pigs swimming in Exuma, everyone’s favorite — Nassau, the turtles on Sweeting’s Cay, the diving paradise of Great Abaco, or others! This is a one-of-a-kind experience of island life, from the culture, cuisine, and beautiful nature that we are so lucky to call home. We want to make it your home for an hour too!

See What Our Guests Are Saying
Our hosts were so accommodating both with dietary restrictions and with timing. They provided us with a highly personalized and intimate experience to learn about Grand Bahama, cook some phenomenal food, listen to traditional music, and made it such a memorable day. We had really wonderful conversations about history, politics, nature, tourism, the different Bahamian islands, and so much more. The folks here are truly passionate about sharing their knowledge and stories, and their enthusiasm is contagious!
Make sure to reserve time to do this tour. Donald is passionate about sharing the culture, history, heritage, traditions, art, politics, and Bahamian philosophy. We didn’t know what to expect but were overjoyed to have spent time at the cultural center. They are like family when you go to the center as you are invited to converse, cook with them, share a meal with them, ask questions, share your experiences with them, and become friends. They have much to share and teach the visitors of the island.
Donald and Diane do a great job with this cultural experience. We loved hearing about the history of Freeport and had a wonderful meal. This was a wonderful experience and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Freeport.
This was by far my favourite excursion that I did while in Freeport! Don the tour guide was excellent and informative. We got to see more of the actual city and how the residents actually live instead of being taken to places where you can buy t-shirts. The junkanoo museum was cool and the lunch at Buddies by the Bay was great! Highly recommend it!
